Working principle for CO2 Fire Extinguishser

The liquid CO2 stored in the Fire Extinguisher quickly transforms into a gas when it is released, absorbing large amount of heat in the process, thereby reducing the temperature at the fire site. At the same time, the release of carbon dioxide will reduce the oxygen concentration in the air, or even eliminate it completely, thus cutting off the contact between the fuel and the oxygen, so that the flame is extinguished due to lack of oxygen. In addition, the density of carbon dioxide is about 1.5 times that of air, which makes it able to effectively surround the burning object when extinguishing the fire, or distribute in a more confined space, further enhancing its suffocation effect.
